Age Doesn't Matter
With every birthday I awake with the sun in my eyes
Feeling no different then i did the day before
Still Feeling seventeen
Not feeling any smarter or wiser
but realizing I'm much more intelligent today
then i was when i was six and fifteen and even yesterday
I'm a year older
but i feel no difference
like a birthday isn't special
like its just another day
But i am wrong
it is special
its your own special Holiday
you wont feel your age
until maybe two weeks later or maybe in a  month
and then that day comes again
and you don't feel nineteen
you feel eighteen
and one day you ll open your eyes to the sun and realize
your 30 and married with two kids
you ll tell yourself that time can fly by
and it truly does
it never stops
but your memories remain
every days a new day.
